EKGs, Work out and a Movie.

So, last Thursday, I had an appointment for a blood survey. And long story short I should of asked for her phone number. Haha.

On a serious note, The survey was to test the effects of salt in the blood stream on healthy adults. I was there testing to see if I was adequate for the study, so, they took my blood pressure, did an EKG(A procedure that tests the electric current of your circulatory system.). It was probably me (with the help of strange innuendos), but I had slightly awkward moments with the coordinator.

The head doctor sat down and discussed the whole procedure and his intended goal from this experiment. It took away the whole guinea pig feel, which was pretty helpful, as well as interesting.

Now, jumping to Friday.

I went to a gym for the first time with my sister. It was pretty much what you'd expect: A bunch of people running on treadmills and lifting/pushing weights. Right now, I'm feeling the "burn". I usually feel the whole sore muscles 2 days after strenuous activity.

Then after, We watched the 10:30 showing of "Watchmen." Overall, It was a pretty good film. I never read the comic, so, I did not collect any bad tension from the differences. As with most(or all) of comic-to-movie or book-to-movie adaptations, there's always a group criticizing the translation.

Before, I become bias about it. I'd like to say, as in artwork, depending on the medium, you will develop vast ranges of outcomes. The preferences of each outcome is either enjoyed or criticized from person to person. So, standing alone, I would recommend watching it atleast once. It has a lot of subtle references to our government and society on a psychological level, which I did enjoy analyzing.

(Also, I loved the in movie soundtrack which many probably have pointed, 99 Luft balons, Simon and Garfunkel's Sound of Silence, and Hendrix's All Along the Watchtower.)

^Quick Tegaki painting with a mouse. I seriously need to invent in a tablet. =/

"Get Rid of This."

Today, I went outside of protocol (and at the expense of the company) to help a customer. Working in a corporate-pawn-shop gets me torn sometimes. So, I'd probably get fired if I keep this up. Well anyways, I was taking a trade in a child (and his father) brought in. It was past warranty over about a week. From what I could gather, he saved up all his earnings to pay for this system that somehow has its screen busted up.

Which was kind of leads to my first mistake. Morals and materialistic values don't translate too well. Businesses like this and positions like mine, are weighed only on face value. Corporate (The position that stands above us; retail.) only needs us to create an image and a sense of security for our customers. Whether the image is truely false or not, is created at the expense of my morals.

I took in the item without a few wires as well. Which was probably my second mistake. The 3rd Key came up to me after. It lead to being reprimanded for bringing my heart to work. "Get rid of this" He said.

He's right in a way, that's why he has the position he has. So, as far as this job goes, it's about selling people an image, and following strict guidelines. Ironically, that's the same tactic most of the employees offer eachother. We keep our real feelings to ourselves and shamelessly insult from afar.

It's a love and hate relationship. The same reason that makes this enjoyable makes this unbearable.

I would prefer to finding a career that would allow me to really help people. Or rather... a position that has little social contact like dealing with boxes all day.

Anywho, on a sidenote. I don't know what to draw. I'm probably going keep this a simple semi-hopefully-not-too-personal journal and making a seperate art blog.

Where did the time go?

Oh, wow.

I forgot I had this blog.
Right now, it's too late to post any irrelevant banter.

Anyways, I'll hold this thought and be back sometime in the near future. Preferably, nearer than latter. As in, not too far in the future but instead closer to this proceeding present.

P.S. Talking in circles does not make one sound smart, just redundant. Haha.
